Introduction
DFID Global School Partnership (DGSP) exists for the purpose of establishing friendship between two schools, one from UK and other from Africa, Asia, Latin America or the Caribbeans. Department for International Development (DFID) is promoting partnerships between these schools. It is an exciting and innovative way to teach and learn about global development. Teachers and students can be inspired to understand the mutual interdependence between countries and to help each other to become active global citizens. DFID provides guidance, professional development opportunities and grants to schools using global dimension within their curriculum.
Nagarjuna Academy has been involved in DGSP programme since the mid of the year 2005. Cramlington Community High School of Cramlington, Newcastle, UK is our partner school. We have jointly developed a partnership agreement. There has been a reciprocal visit by teachers of both the schools to create a sustainable link to flourish as projects in future and to explore the possibilities to develop schools in global dimension.
