Nagarjuna Eco-club
Nagarjuna Eco-club is sister organization of Nagarjuna Academy Higher Secondary School which was formally established in the year 2060 B.S. in association with WEPCO (Women Environment Preservation Committee), Kupondole, Lalitpur on initiatives of our principal, Mr.Sunil Bikram Sijapati and EPH teacher Mr. Madab Thapaliya. This club is successfully running in 6th year due to the active participation of our students in various environmental conservation activities and programs. Students of class 6 on wards are the members of this club.
"Pollution is death- Prevention is Life" , "Think Globally , Act Locally" , "Re-Use, Recycle, and Reduce the waste products" are the motto of this club where one is encouraged to preserve and promote the environment and bring improvement in the present condition of our surrounding. Besides this, club also organizes various activities and programs to aware the local community and protect environment from degradation.
The term Eco means Ecological (related to ecology) and club thus, is the group of people. This club is an independent organization handled by the students of our school dares for conservation program in the surrounding. From the beginning of the establishment it has been working hard in maintaining the environment inside and outside of the school.
Club's Objectives
-bring awareness among the students and make them feel and act responsibly to wards the environment.
-to give students knowledge about creative management of waste materials through reuse, reduce and recycle and various other methods.
-to generate fund and utilize it for the promotion of the environment.
-to make various projects on hot topic's of the environment.
-to establish a small garden in school.
-to improve the quality of life and quality of environment.
